Beltre enjoyed a big day at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun in the 3rd inning and smashed a two-run homer (his 19th of the season) in the 5th inning. Burbank threatened in the 9th but California was able to put down the rally. Josh Fogg(7-8) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Fogg got help from Danys Baez who was credited with his 7th save. Jason Jennings(1-11) was tagged with the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings. With this win, California has a 56-52 record. They have been 5-5 lately. Burbank can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 1-9 record over the last couple weeks.
